In 2017, Madonna takes a sabbatical to work on her tour DVD and spend time with her family, which gets extended with the adoption of Malawian twins Esther and Stella. In the summer, she takes her children back to Malawi to open the children's hospital funded by her charity. After joining and speeching at the Women's March, Madonna further talks about women's rights in the short film Her-Story, released on International Women's Day. After releasing her Rebel Heart Tour DVD, Madonna announces that she is looking into different, more intimate tour concepts. The rest of the year is mostly spent promoting her MDNA Skin care line.
