Madonna kicked off 2023 with the announcement of her first ever Greatest Hits tour. Early that year she starts dating boxing coach Josh Popper. In June, right before the Celeberation Tour is supposed to kick off, Madonna is hospitalized with scepsis and is briefly in an induced coma. She recovers quickly and manages to kick off her European tour in October, with the American leg postponed to 2024. The health scare leaves a major impact on her.
