In an unprecedented move, Madonna extended her Sticky & Sweet era with an additional tour leg in the summer of 2009. When the tour wrapped up early September, Madonna released her Celebration compilation album as final release under her Warner contract. In her personal life, she enjoyed life as a single mum, further extending her family by adopting Malawian baby girl Mercy James.
