Madonna's career: 2010
← 2009 | overview | 2011 →
Apart from a performance at the Hope For Haiti benefit, Madonna takes a break from music in 2010. She spends most of the year working on her directional feature debut W.E. Madonna also ventures into other businesses: together with designer duo Dolce & Gabbana she debuts the eyewear line MDG; with daughter Lola she starts the teen fashion line Material Girl; and in November the first Hard Candy Fitness Center opens in Mexico City. After their February visit of carnaval in Rio, Madonna splits up with toy boy Jesus Luz. In the summer, she is introduced to French dancer b-boy Brahim Zaibat.
