This is the second single from Hard Candy. It's a very catchy and uptempo track that was produced by The Neptunes and has a great anthemic vibe. Pharrell backs up Madonna with some vocals and together they do a hilarious breakdown in the middle of the song.
Even before it was promoted as a single, it gathered enough digital downloads during the week of the release of the album that it managed to debut at #8 in Canada, #57 in USA and #73 in UK. Radio stations started playing it early June and a physical single is going to be released on July 14th in the UK (11th in other European countries). Give It 2 Me is currently in the UK Top 40, her 66th Top 40 single in that country. Remixes of the single were made by Paul Oakenfold, Eddie Amador, Jody Den Broeder and Fedde le Grand.

Video

The straightforward and goofy performance video was shot early April in London, directed by Tom Munro. It premiered online on May 31st. Madonna is seen recreating her Elle photoshoot by Munro in various costumes and is just having fun with Pharrell, who makes a guest appearance for some fooling around.
