For the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots in 2019, Madonna was recognised for her efforts as a gay activist and named Stonewall Ambassador. On New Year's Eve she made a surprise visit to the famous gay bar and performed a few songs. On June 30, she performed a set on Pride Island to celebrate the World Pride.

Madonna performed 4 songs, opening with the gay anthem Vogue. The set also included two tracks from her most recent album Madame X: God Control and I Rise, both tracks that talk about the issue of gun control in the USA.
